There is a 2-year warranty on products purchased from ID2YOU. The difference between warranty and guarantee can be seen under Buyer Rules. Any additional warranty or guarantee will be stated separately on the invoice. If the item unexpectedly breaks during the warranty period, it will be repaired free of charge by us. Damage to the product caused by modifications or misuse by the user is not covered by the warranty.
Complaints about defects must be reported within a reasonable time after receiving the item. Customers are strongly encouraged to provide a statement regarding the product's defect in connection with the complaint, as failure to do so may result in an extended troubleshooting process. Items that are not covered by the warranty and/or are received without proper packaging will be re-packaged, and a fee corresponding to ID2YOU's expenses for necessary and proper packaging will be charged. Items returned as cash on delivery or sent without postage will be refused by ID2YOU.
When returning defective or incorrect items to ID2YOU, if the fault or defect defined and specified by the customer is not found, the item will be returned to the customer with a testing fee. The testing fee is EUR 55 per hour, including VAT. The fee is calculated based on the time spent on testing and troubleshooting. Items should be returned with a copy of the invoice showing the purchase date of the claimed product, otherwise, the item will be set aside until an invoice copy and any fault notification for the product are provided.
All products returned to ID2YOU must be securely packaged. ID2YOU recommends that items be returned via GLS or UPS and sent as parcel post. This allows the package to be tracked in their systems, removing any doubt as to whether the item was delivered to ID2YOU. Additionally, the customer can trace the package if delivery has not taken place.
If you have any questions, ID2YOU recommends contacting mail@id2you.dk or calling +45 88 72 30 10.

Warranty Guarantee Exchange policy Reasonable time Presumption rule
The warranty gives the customer the right to complain about a product with defects or faults that were present when the item was sold. The customer has two years to discover and report such defects. For the first six months, the burden of proof lies with the seller, while for the following 1½ years, it lies with the customer. Warranty is a statutory right.
A guarantee is a voluntary agreement between buyer and seller. If a two-year guarantee is agreed upon, the customer can complain about all types of defects during the guarantee period. In this case, the seller must prove that the fault is due to misuse by the customer. A guarantee is not a statutory right.
As a general rule, the consumer can demand to exchange an item instead of accepting a repair. Previously, the opposite was true until January 1, 2002. For the exchange policy, the requirement must not result in disproportionate costs for the seller compared to a repair.
According to the new purchase law, the consumer always has two months to react after discovering a defect or fault in an item. Complaints within 2 months are considered timely. Complaints can also be valid after two months, but this is rare.
The presumption rule means that within the first six months after purchase, it is assumed that the defect was present at the time of purchase. This eases the burden of proof for the consumer within the first six months and simplifies the exchange process.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the item resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the item. You may examine the item in the same way as you would in a store, but you may not use it or remove tags. If you use the item in a way that is not permitted in a store and we cannot resell it at full price, we will deduct the diminished value from the amount you are to be refunded. If the item no longer has a resale value, we will not refund the purchase price. The item should be securely packaged for return. You bear the risk for the package until we receive it. Therefore, keep the postal receipt and any track and trace number. The consumer bears the cost of return shipping. ID2YOU will refund the amount within 30 days in accordance with the Consumer Agreement Act §12c.
There are 2 ways to return the item:
Refuse to receive the item from the postal service and ask them to immediately return the item to ID2YOU. Receive the item and return it within 14 days with a copy of the invoice as proof of purchase. Return address: ID2YOU Bornholmsvej 10 7400 Herning Denmark
Returns due to withdrawal are at the buyer's own expense and must be returned to the above address. We do NOT accept packages delivered to a parcel box! We recommend that the item be returned via GLS or UPS as parcel post so you can track the package and ensure it reaches us. The customer can also trace the package if delivery has not taken place. Items returned as cash on delivery or without postage will be refused.
All products returned to ID2YOU must be securely packaged. We recommend that the item be returned as parcel post via GLS or UPS.
